Capability for remote electronic update of details of prepaid subscribers
1. The capability for remote electronic update of details of prepaid subscribers, which is provided by the website and the applications of société anonyme under the corporate name “VODAFONE PANAFON HELLENIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANY SOCIÉTÉ ANONYME” (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) comprises the provision to current prepaid subscribers of “VODAFONE PANAFON HELLENIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMPANY SOCIÉTÉ ANONYME” of the capability to update their details via electronic means (through www.vodafone.gr and My Vodafone app), without requiring the physical presence of subscribers.
2. The capability for remote electronic update of details of prepaid subscribers is provided free of charge on a 24-hour basis.
3. The capability for remote electronic update of details of prepaid subscribers is executed through a combination of techniques and interactive measures that ensure the reliable updating of details of current prepaid subscribers. More specifically, the remote electronic update of details of prepaid subscribers is carried out through: a) an automated procedure through the capturing of dynamic photos (dynamic selfies) and b) teleconference with an expert employee of the Company.
In any case, the prepaid subscriber must electronically submit / upload all necessary identification documents (ID card, passport etc.).
4. The user of the capability of remote electronic update of details of prepaid subscribers shall be fully and exclusively responsible for the validity, accuracy and correctness of the details he or she fills in / updates.
5. The user of the service shall be obliged to use the capability for remote electronic update of details of prepaid subscribers in accordance with the law, fair practices and the terms and conditions set forth in this section, and he or she must not proceed to any acts or omissions which may potentially cause any loss, damage, failure or malfunction to the Company and/or third parties, and/or affect, discredit or put the Company at legal, financial or business risk. It is explicitly forbidden to post any contents which are insulting, defamatory, threatening, abusive or otherwise illegal in nature.
6. The Company takes all appropriate measures in order to maintain the confidential and private nature of details and protect the Personal Data of subscribers who shall use the above capability.
7. The Company shall not be held in any way liable if it is unable to provide the capability for remote electronic update of details of prepaid subscribers due to cause which is outside its control and responsibility.
8. All processing of personal data is carried out on the basis of the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Privacy Policy of the Company (found at https://www.vodafone.gr/our-privacy-n-cookies-policy).
9. The Company may terminate the capability of remote electronic update of details of prepaid subscribers or modify these terms and conditions at any time and at its discretion. Any change to these terms and conditions shall be announced via notification on the website www.vodafone.gr.
